D N THEODO-SIVS P F AVG Rosette-diademed, helmeted, draped and cuirassed bust of Theodosius I to right, holding spear pointed forward in his right hand and shield in his left. Rev. GLORIA RO-MANORVM / ANTB Theodosius I standing front on galley sailing left, head turned to right, raising his right hand in salute; on stern to right, Victory seated left, steering the ship; above, cross; in field to left, wreath. RIC 40e.3. A lovely coin with attractive earthen highlights over a dark patina. Minor edge cracks, otherwise, good very fine.
